  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO STAY AT HAWTHORN HIDEAWAY?

    • ​3 night minimum stay

    • Check in days are Monday and Fridays (other days may be available ad hoc).

    • A weekday is Monday to Friday and a weekend Friday to Monday. 

    • For up to date prices check your dates on our availability calendar.

    • There is a £100 damage deposit pre-authorised from your account the day before your arrival. However no money is taken from the account unless there are any damages or losses. 

    • All accommodation are strictly non-smoking. There will be a cleaning charge of up to £100 if there is smoking in the accommodation.

  • WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICE?

    • Digital guest book and registration allowing social distancing.

    • Breakfast welcome hamper of local produce.

    • Starter pack of wood for your wood-burner and the fire bowl BBQ.

    • Wood and charcoal for the sauna and BBQ cabin.

    • Each BBQ session lasts 2 hours and each sauna session lasts 1 hour. There will be a 30 minute slot between sessions to allow for cleaning. 

    • The accommodation are an open plan studio arrangement with an en-suite shower room.

    • Basic initial essentials include salt and pepper, tea and coffee making facilities and cleaning materials, including dishwasher tablets.

    • Kitchen area has a gas cooker, oven and grill, a whistling kettle, under counter fridge freezer and dishwasher.

    • There is a dining table and 2 chairs, a sofa, a smart TV, a wood burner, a wardrobe in the cabins and hanging space on the boat and a king or super-king size bed with a selection of pillows. All bedding is included. 

    • Central heating with room thermostat, a radiators in the main room and a heated towel rail in the bathroom. 

    • Large walk in shower, toilet and sink. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap and moisturiser, as well as hand, bath and  spa towels are provided for your use. There are  also fluffy bath robes for your pleasure.

    • Free WiFi.

    • Iron, ironing board and hairdryers in each accommodation.

    • Raised deck with outdoor dining area in the lodges, private garden area for all accommodation, including hot tub, fire bowl BBQ and picnic table.

    • A large feature outdoor day bed per accommodation. 

    • All gas, electric, water and diesel.

    • Boat training, manual, license, insurance and accredited safety certificate.

    • Sanitiser stations dotted around the site.

    • Free and secure parking.

    • Bike storage.

    • We'd advise you bring your own fishing equipment if you'd like to fish, but we can supply a limited amount of basic fishing tackle. You'll need to sort a rod licence, which can be arranged online here.

  • WHAT EXTRAS DO WE CHARGE FOR?

    • Extra wood beyond your starter pack, at £10 per bag.

  • WHAT IS OUR BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICIES?

    • ​On booking a stay with us, a non refundable deposit of 25% of the stay is required. Full booking balance must be paid 30 days before arrival. We accept payments by bacs, voucher, and the following cards: Visa, Mastercard.

    • We would advise getting holiday insurance in case of needing to cancel your holiday.

    • If a booking is cancelled less than 30 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.

    • If the booking is cancelled 30 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to 25% of the stay will be made.

    • In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

    • If we have to cancel your stay due to a local or national lockdown, we would offer to reschedule your stay or offer you a full refund.

  • WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK IN AND OUT?

    • Check in is from 4pm in the lodges and 2pm in the boat. Unfortunately due to Covid 19, we cannot allow earlier check in if guests have stayed in the cabin before, as we have to ensure time for our enhanced cleaning processes. 

    • Check out is at 11am in the lodges and 10am in the boat and again we cannot allow late check out if someone is booked to arrive later that day. 

  • WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE ALLOWED IN A CABIN?

    • We have designed our accomodation to cater for couples.

  • ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED ON SITE?

    • We regret we do not allow children on site, this is an adult only site, so no under 18's.

    • To hire the boat to cruise you must be over 21 years of age. 

    • You will not be handed over control of the boat fir cruising if we feel you are not competent, this is for the safety of others and property.

  • ARE DOGS ALLOWED ON SITE?

    • We regret we do not allow dogs on site.

  • IS SMOKING ALLOWED ON SITE?

    • Smoking or vaping are not allowed in any of the buildings. Only smoke in the designated area's and please us the cigarette bins provided

  • CAN MUSIC BE PLAYED ON SITE?

    • Yes...while we allow low level music inside the cabins, its must not be excessive and must not disturb the other guests. The same also applies to noise levels outside of the cabins. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10.00pm. 

  • ARE OUTDOOR FIRES ALLOWED?

    • Yes but only in the designated areas and only using the equipment provided.
