The price for Kingfisher luxury narrowboat holiday with hot tub is for a static boat hire. Please select the extra option at booking for self-drive boat hire or skippered boat option.

A 2-hour journey in either direction takes to you either the famous Drakeholes Tunnel and The Duck, restaurant or West Stockwith Marina and The White Hart Pub and Restaurant. There are only 2 locks each way. You could choose to travel further afield if you wished but why miss out on our onsite facilities.

Insurance, petrol, gas, electricity, pump out if needed and water are all included.
You must be over 21 years of age to hire out Kingfisher for cruising.
You will not be handed over control of the boat for cruising if we feel you are not competent, this is for the safety of others and property.

"We found our little bit of heaven ! Everything and anything you could want or need is there and provided. Having the best of both worlds by staying on the Kingfisher had a hot tub that we used daily seating on the canal to sit and read or just contemplate . It is so quite and peaceful you really recharge your batteries. There is also a bbq hut and sauna available to use. We booked a couples massage in the yurt which was superb. The grounds at night are magical - you will have to visit yourselves to find out why . The staff so friendly and helpful. Josephine despite her busy life took time to chat and advise and security person so cute. Plenty of places to eat not far from Hawthorn and all excellent. We had such a stupendous time at The Hideaway. Cannot recommend highly enough and wait till you see your breakfast basket. Don’t want to give too much away as will be for you like it was for us many wonderful surprises. We are planning to go back in spring and we are a couple who usually don’t return to a place we have previously been but that is how good our few days were. "Hawthorne Hideaway A lovely bolt hole with lots of scrumptious treats and activities. We booked a duo massage (sublime), afternoon tea (generous variety and even included a bunch of daffodils!), sauna (fabulous) and BBQ hut with hamper (high quality and so lavish, we had the chops and enough vegetables for dinner the following night). All highly recommended. We enjoyed walks along the canal and in the ground’s illuminated woodland. An evening glass of fizz by the water’s edge & hot tub bubbles under the stars. Our lodge (we stayed in The Swan) was cosy and had plenty of quality fittings; comfy bed, log burner, super shower and the kitchen was fitted with all the basics. The breakfast hamper provided enough for at least two breakfasts (we enhanced with extra teabags). There are too many positives to list and it’s probably nice to leave a few surprises for future guests to discover for themselves. A big thank you to Sarah, the site team and local suppliers, but especially to Josephine for your warmth and hospitality and being on hand for us when needed.
