Hawthorn Hideaway is a destination in itself. Many couples spend their entire stay relaxing in our two luxury lodges or unique narrowboat, each with a private hot tub, secluded garden, and cosy log burner.
Unwind in the sauna and steam room, indulge in a couples’ massage or private dining experience, or enjoy a peaceful stroll along the Chesterfield Canal to a nearby pub.
Adjacent to our property lies the picturesque Chesterfield Canal, a haven for walking, cycling, and boating enthusiasts. The towpath meanders through tranquil countryside, offering opportunities to observe diverse flora and fauna. For a unique experience, consider a trip on the Seth Ellis, a public boat operated by the Canal and River Trust, departing from locations such as Drakeholes, Retford, and Ranby.
Also bring your own canoe or paddle board and enjoy some time on the water.
